§ Legal

Privacy, briefly.

Short version: this site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no forms and loads everything — fonts included — from its own domain. The only personal data involved is what any web server sees when you visit, and whatever you send me if you get in touch.

01 / Who

Who runs this site

KNALLLKOPP is one independent developer, not a company. The quickest way to reach me — for questions about this page or to exercise any of the rights below — is a direct message on Discord: @knalllkopp.

This page follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to a visitor, the points marked for EU/EEA visitors apply as well.

02 / Visiting

What happens when you visit

The site is a set of static files hosted on Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which processes data on my behalf (Art. 9 FADP) under its data processing agreement. To deliver a page, Cloudflare’s servers necessarily receive:

  • your IP address,
  • date and time of the request, the page or file requested and the response status,
  • the referring page, if your browser sends one,
  • your browser and operating system as stated in the user-agent header.

This is used only to deliver the site, keep it secure (for example against attacks and abuse) and keep it running. I do not have access to individual log entries; Cloudflare keeps them for a limited period as described in its privacy policy.

Cloudflare also asks browsers to use Network Error Logging: if a connection to this site fails, your browser may send a short error report (the address requested, the type of error and your IP address) to Cloudflare so that network problems can be found.

EU/EEA visitors: the legal basis is my legitimate interest in delivering a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

03 / Abroad

Disclosure abroad

Cloudflare runs a global network, so the request data above may be processed outside Switzerland, including in the United States. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection for certified companies (Annex 1 DPO). Where that certification does not apply, Cloudflare relies on the standard contractual clauses recognised by the FDPIC.

04 / Tracking

Cookies, analytics, tracking

None. This site:

  • sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser,
  • uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools,
  • embeds no social media plugins, videos or maps,
  • serves its fonts from its own domain, so no request goes to Google or any other font service,
  • makes no automated decisions about you and does no profiling (Art. 21 FADP).

05 / Contact

Getting in touch

The contact buttons link to my profiles on Discord (Discord Inc., USA) and Roblox (Roblox Corporation, USA). Following a link takes you to their platform; from then on they process your data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies (Discord, Roblox). Nothing is sent to them before you click.

If you message me, I process what you send — your username, your message and anything you include — only to answer you and, if we work together, to carry out the commission. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted once the conversation is over. Records of paid work are kept as long as Swiss law requires, in particular for accounting (Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations: ten years).

EU/EEA visitors: the legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

06 / Rights

Your rights

Under the FADP you can, free of charge as a rule:

  • ask whether and which personal data about you is processed (right of access, Art. 25 FADP),
  • have incorrect data corrected and data deleted or its processing restricted (Art. 32 FADP),
  • object to processing, and
  • receive data you provided in a common electronic format (data portability, Art. 28 FADP).

Send requests as a Discord message to @knalllkopp. I may need to confirm it’s really you before answering.

You can also complain to the Swiss supervisory authority: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, edoeb.admin.ch.

EU/EEA visitors additionally have the rights under Art. 15–21 GDPR and may complain to the data protection authority in their country.

07 / Security

Security

The site is only served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. There are no accounts, logins or databases on it, so there is nothing of yours stored here to lose.

08 / Credits

Trademarks & credits

Roblox is a trademark of Roblox Corporation. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. “ERLC” refers to Emergency Response: Liberty County and its developers. This site and its projects are independent and are not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any of them.

Typefaces: Bricolage Grotesque, Instrument Serif and JetBrains Mono, used under the SIL Open Font License (licence, licence, licence).

09 / Changes

Changes to this policy

If the site changes how it handles data — for example by adding analytics or a contact form — this page is updated first, and the date at the top changes with it.
